XMReality Remote Guidance technology allows the housing provider’s operatives to be virtually present in a tenant’s home, to see the issue in real time using video technology on a mobile phone or tablet, and to offer support and advice by having their hand superimposed on the scene in the tenant’s home. In this way many simple repairs and problems can be fixed remotely, from fixing a door to connecting a washing machine, while maintaining public social distancing.

When lockdown came, it soon became clear what a far-sighted decision it was as tenants were able to carry out urgent repairs simply and swiftly in their homes, with no risk of inviting infection in. KHA Interim Digital Director Gary Haldane explains.
Could this be the new standard way of working even after the pandemic is gone?
