XMReality awarded ISO27001 certificate

XMReality awarded ISO27001 certificate
Since spring of this year, XMReality has been working on obtaining a formal certification covering information security, ISO 27001, which the company has now been awarded. Both large and small customers have the area high on their agenda and some larger companies require this type of certification from their suppliers as cyber security, data protection regulations and access control are operationally critical. This certification covers operations both in Sweden and in the US.

"During the contract process with new customers, in many cases, a large number of questions concerning information security are discussed, which is the norm in today's digital world. This certification largely replaces those questions by showing that we work proactively with information security and have an information security management system that covers the entire company both in Sweden and the US," says Rasmus Wetterhed, Chief Information Security Officer at XMReality. “In order to obtain an ISO 27001 certificate, basic and relevant protection in the area is required, which I’m proud to conclude that we now possess.”

"ISO 27001 is the most widely used standard when it comes to information security and is used in many countries as a reference framework by legislators and authorities," says Tim Malmsten, Sales and Marketing Director at Svensk Certification, which has issued the certificate. "More and more companies are demanding that their suppliers have a management system according to ISO 27001. Being certified according to ISO 27001 creates trust with customers because it is proof that the company has a management system for information security. The certificate means a competitive advantage compared to colleagues in the industry. We are happy to be a supplier to XMReality," says Tim Malmsten.
